THE EXPERIENCE
Discover how the bread you are eating has reached your table, the ecologically-minded raising of calves in a green field, the artisanal cheeses resulting from a family’s tenacity, made with the milk produced by their sheep.
These are the ingredients that make up the Cinco Villas Gastro-Food Tours, organized by Civitur, in collaboration with the Cinco Villas Region and the Cinco Villas Pantry (Put Aragon on your table).
The gastro-food visits are especially aimed at families with children. During June and July in different Cinco Villas municipalities.

All the visits have the same structure: reception of the participants, visit to the spaces belonging to producers in the area – very varied, since they range from an ancestral wood-fired bread oven, passing through herds of cows, a cheese factory, a workshop where marinated is made, etc.–, including product tasting, the possibility of buying them and food (in a local restaurant, with menus made with local products). Then, a tourist visit to the municipality is carried out, or a visit to museums or interpretation centers existing in it, or, well, a
specific workshop with a producer.
For example, in the last edition -July 2022- workshops were held in Biota, where the company Bioternera was visited, where its owner, a young entrepreneur from the town, explained in the pasture area the type of care he receives his livestock, the product he takes from it, and the process, until it is distributed and sold so that it reaches the table, etc. The local bakery was also visited, where the artisanal production process of the typical sweets of the municipality was explained: the soul cakes, to end with a visit and product tasting at the Biota Cheese Factory, where its owner explains the entire production process. creation of their product, including a tasting of fresh, young, cured cheese, yogurt, among other delicacies, some paired with surprising products such as jalapeño jam, also made by hand.
