THE EXPERIENCE
This olive oil tourism activity combines Segway touring and tasting in Calaceite, where visitors glide through traditional olive groves and learn about the region’s native olive varieties.
During the experience, you’ll meet a family who have cultivated these lands for four generations, and discover the vital role the natural environment plays in producing extra virgin olive oil. The tour celebrates the local culture of Matarraña, weaving together traditions and stories linked to oil production.
At the end of the route, you’ll visit an oleoteca for a professional tasting, where you can appreciate the subtleties of the final product. This activity is a perfect example of ecotourism, blending sustainable farming practices with environmental education, and highlighting the deep connection between tourism and conservation.

Welcome and Introduction
Upon arrival at the Mas dels Castellans estate, you’ll be warmly welcomed by Sara or Marc, who will introduce you to the history, culture, and family legacy of olive oil production in Matarraña.
Olive Oil Tasting
The highlight of the experience is a guided tasting of three olive oils with different classifications, where you’ll sample a variety of commercial oils and two exclusive varieties produced by the family.
Product Pairing
Finally, you’ll enjoy a small tasting of artisanal products drizzled with extra virgin olive oil, creating delicious pairings that showcase the oils’ flavours and offer a delightful gastronomic experience.
