THE EXPERIENCE
Ilumina Calatayud is an alternative plan for the nights of the last weekend of August that combines the illumination of the most emblematic buildings of the historic center of Calatayud with the celebration of cultural, recreational and gastronomic activities.
The main objective is to turn the historic center of Calatayud into a great stage where you can enjoy music, poetry, photography, guided tours of the “sleeping city”, narrations of historical moments lived in Calatayud, exhibitions, tapas tours, fire shows, storytelling, classical music concerts, book presentations, documentary screenings, all held in unique enclaves.
The main streets of the Old Town and buildings that integrate the rich Historical and Artistic Heritage of Calatayud, are wrapped between the darkness of the night and the dim light of the candles and the combination of modernity that prints the light with leds, which are making different figures, playing with the contrasts of colors, in buildings of the XV or XVI centuries.
