Tourists who have it in their hands become real explorers on an interesting journey through time and the history existing in the environment of Montoro, discovering the time when these lands were bathed by the sea of Tetis and that left the endemic ammonites in the area; the carnivorous dinosaurs that left their footprints, takes us to the interesting Neolithic with its paintings of Levantine Rock Art World Heritage Site in the rocks of Cantalar, visit a burial site in the Peña Vadada chasm; visit an ancient settlement, not yet accurately dated; discover a Hispanovisigoth necropolis; the amazing house of the Lord of Montoro, who became Viceroy of Mallorca; contemplate one of the oldest shrines of Maestrazgo, San Pedro de la Roqueta; get lost in the abandoned neighborhood of Hoya Serval, visit an old flour mill that worked until the late 50’s and be amazed with the old loom where hats were made for Turkey.

The traveler will not only be able to enjoy history, but also beautiful walks, impressive landscapes and petrified mythological beings such as the “Orco de Valloré”, which can be found on the way to the footbridges of the same name. To get there you pass through “Los Chorros”, an ideal place to take a bath in the natural jacuzzi; quench your thirst in the “Fuente de los Cinglos Verdes” and reach the impressive gorge that the river has excavated forming the “Estrecho de Valloré” (Valloré Strait).

Contemplate very interesting living monuments such as the ancient junipers of Hoya Serval, following the PR that leads to Pitarque, where the “Fuente del Vación” is located, with cold waters, and return to the ancient sanctuary of San Pedro de la Roqueta by the path used for seven centuries by the “Romeros” and discover the ravine at the foot of the Hermitage; There you can walk through a well-preserved ancient forest of Sabinas, enter the Cueva de la Mora and discover its legend and refresh yourself in the springs along the “Paseo Fluvial”. Cross the river and discover from the viewpoint of the “Pozo del Arco” the impressive Point of Geological Interest (PIG) that can be seen from there and, finally, enjoy the beautiful and perfect conical shape of the “Ciprés centennial of the Molino de las Herrerías”.
