THE EXPERIENCE
In the “School of Archaeologists” any schoolchild or child who travels with their parents to Los Bañales, in the region of Cinco Villas, will be able to feel and learn first-hand what it is like to excavate a site, what are the methodologies of classification and study of materials, cataloging and documentation. You will experience first-hand what it is like to be an archaeologist.
This activity is a comprehensive experience that allows participants (schoolchildren and families) to learn about teamwork, order and discipline required by the work of an archaeologist and to manage to obtain the capacity for synthesis and abstract thinking necessary to complete the forms that are filled out during the process, to reach historical conclusions about the material found.

How is it done?
Wooden crates are placed in the site with different strata that the children must excavate, discovering the materials that are housed in them and making a proper reading of the soil files. It is like discovering a treasure, but in a reasoned way, and with the history of this privileged Roman enclave in the Cinco Villas region.
